Cellular Agriculture Europe is glad to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Innovation Agency Lithuania. The partnership will be dedicated to advancing cellular agriculture within the complementary protein industry.
Our partnership is focused on fostering the growth and development of the complementary protein ecosystem, with a specific emphasis on cellular agriculture. By joining forces, Cellular Agriculture Europe and the Innovation Agency of Lithuania aim to exchange knowledge and promote sustainable practices to drive forward the cellular agriculture industry in the EU.
As part of this collaboration, Cellular Agriculture Europe will provide guidance and support in formulating a Code of Good Practice for pre-approval tastings of novel foods. Additionally, we will assist in its implementation, ensuring organised and ethical conduct in this emerging field.
The Innovation Agency Lithuania will play a crucial role by collecting and providing evidence-based information to support the authorisation of cultivated products under the EU Novel Foods Regulation. Together, we will work towards streamlining regulatory processes and facilitating market entry for cellular agriculture products. Furthermore, we will identify potential EU projects and foster collaboration opportunities between startups, companies, and research institutions.
This collaboration marks a significant step forward in nurturing the growth of emerging ventures within the cellular agriculture sector. The partnership will span two years initially, with the possibility of extending through a more comprehensive cooperation agreement.
Cellular Agriculture Europe is excited about this collaboration and believes it will catalyse the development of the cellular agriculture market in Europe.
